BIRTHFIT is a movement. It’s about expecting and postpartum moms taking charge of their bodies and their decisions, and supporting one another’s journeys—together and apart.

BIRTHFIT is an approach to birth. We challenge the status quo and ask the questions no one else asks. We read, research, experiment, and consolidate all the common sense, time-honored wisdom, and recent studies we can find and present that information to you through various education models.

Brooke Tompkins

Hi, I'm Brooke Tompkins, a Fitness Coach, and the Regional Director for BIRTHFIT South Tampa. I'm a proud wife and mother of three beautiful children. After experiencing 3 very different pregnancies and births, I am passionate about the Motherhood Transition and everything surrounding it. After the very first birth I ever witnessed, at age 15 as a big sister, I knew this was somehow my place in life. After years of soul-searching & embracing childbirth, as a mother, friend, student, doula, and eventually a gym owner surrounded by moms, I discovered BIRTHFIT. I'm truly blessed to be able to educate and empower the women in my community and to be able to immerse myself in something that I'm truly passionate about. I know how difficult things can be in this journey and it's my goal to shed some light for as many mamas that I can. It's so important that mothers support one another. If we can embrace this village mentality, as a tribe we can change the world!

Education: Occupational Science Degree in Radiology

Trainings/Certifications: CrossFit L1, BIRTHFIT Coach, DONA Doula, CPR, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Exercise 1

I can’t say enough about Brooke Tompkins and this program. Taking a few hours a week to move my body mindfully in a way that encourages healing of the core, connecting with other moms and embracing a growth mindset has made the beginning of my postpartum journey an overwhelmingly positive one. BIRTHFIT South Tampa’s Postpartum program is something that should be on every new mom’s must do list (or baby registry!) after giving birth. This program is so much more than fitness, it’s a complete mindset shift. It provides a space for moms to be loved, babies to be snuggled so mom can get her lift in, and it cultivates a tribe of other women loving and supporting you in each phase of motherhood. One thing Brooke said during my postpartum series is to focus on this next year as a year of healing. This stuck with me. On the days that I’m having complete off days or feel pressures of the world to “bounce back”, I am reminded that I’m healing and loving myself through this journey. If you’re slightly considering this series I encourage you to do it, you will not regret it. You will learn things that will change your life and the lives of your babies!
